There is very little reason ever to hand write a message and put it in my inbox.  Typically everyone's hand writing is barely legible and no one ever puts on the note who it is from.  Also, it may be days if not weeks before I get the note from my inbox, if you message it to me I will get it immediately.

This goes for everything, problems in the building, employee issues, sales ideas, cash problems, etc.  Basically anything I need to know that is not urgent.   If it is urgent just call me.

No more handwritten notes please!!!  Send me a message via the computer.

Selling Memberships

Please note:  When you sell memberships in store using the Plan Nine website you must click on the membership image from the page "http://plan-nine.net/site/product-category/membership/".  If you click on the "Sign Up Now" link it will not add it to the cart because you must first enter the "Member Names" on the actual page for the membership type.

Summer Ramp Camp

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that we are now selling summer ramp camp.  There are 10 weeks this summer starting on June 3rd.  Please let customers know!

LOG OUT BEFORE SELLING MEMBERSHIP

Be sure you are not selling memberships on the last persons account.  Be sure to log out of the website if you or someone else is logged in before you sell a membership.  You will see if someone is logged in by looking in the upper right hand corner.  It will have their username there.  Be sure you log them out or this will cause major issues.

Alos, the membership does not get them free access to all nighters, just a 10% discount on all nighters.

Selling Memberships at POS

Everyone needs to read this so they know how to sell memberships at the POS.

Please tell customers about this when they arrive.  They can sign up anytime before the end of the month for $10 cheaper than it will be next month.  This price will be locked in for as long as they keep their membership current.

Members List

You can find the list of members here.

When a member comes in for a session please ring them in for an all day session and then discount it accordingly.  The discount is either SKU # 146839 (individual) or SKU # 146840 (family).  The total cost for the membership sessions will be $0.

Also, they get 10% off any Plan Nine branded apparel and hardgoods.  This also applies to camps, lessons, etc.

Employee Purchase Guidelines

Please note the updated employee purchase guidelines:

The major addition to this policy is the 7 day grace period for new merchandise, see below.

Employees/volunteers of Plan Nine are entitled to, but not guaranteed, discounts on merchandise sold at Plan Nine.  The discount amount will vary as it is not a set percentage.  The discount will be 15% above the product cost.
All new employees/volunteers must wait 30 days from their first shift before they are eligible for a discount (this excludes regular sessions).
There will a grace period of a minimum of 7 days for all new merchandise that arrives at Plan Nine before it can be bought with a discount.
Regular skatepark sessions will be free to all employees.  Some discounts may apply to camps, lessons, etc.
Discounts may only be used for items purchased solely for the employee and cannot be used to buy merchandise or sessions for friends, family, etc.
No product can be put on hold for an employee to be bought at discount.

Who is This?

I got two tags from product that I assume was given to a team rider in my inbox the other day.  Whoever wrote the name on the tag did it so it was not readable.  It does no good to give product away without properly and legibly writing the name on the tag.  Please take your time and do this properly.  See the tag image attached.  Let me know who wrote this and who's name is on it.

Spring Break Ramp Camp

We are going to try and have two weeks of Spring Break Ramp Camp this year.  I have coordinated the camps with the spring breaks for most local schools and will be marketing this heavily.  We'll just have to wait and see if we get enough kids to sign up to have camp.  Also, we are adding scooter specific camp this year for session #1.

Harlem Shake at the next All Nighter

Billy will be filming a Harlem Shake video at the next All Nighter on March 8th.  Please come dressed in costume (or one to change into) to be a part of the video.

Two Coreys Deck Release Party

Just a heads up to everyone, we'll be having the Two Coreys Deck Release Party on Saturday from 9 to midnight.  All the info is below:

Large Deliveries and Pallets

When we have large deliveries they come by truck, typically on pallets.  These drivers will unload the pallet to a dock free of charge but sometimes charge to unpack the pallet and load it into our building.  Please be sure you do not authorize any charges if the driver asks you to.  These charges will be charged to Plan Nine, not the shipper.  If the driver says he can't unload the pallet from the truck without an extra charge you will have to do it for him.  Just unwrap the pallet and unload each item individually.

Owen Hensley

I have worked out an arrangement with Owen Hensley and his parents to allow him back in the park.  He will be reinstated on the volunteer staff on March 1st and until then will be a regular customer.

Game of Skate on Saturday

Everyone come out for the Game of Skate on Saturday.  It will be a fun event and hopefully lots of people will be in attendance.

Plan Nine Skatepark is bringing back the Game of S.K.A.T.E. contest series for 2013.
This year's series will consist of 6 events at different locations throughout the metro area.
The first event will be held at Plan Nine Skatepark on January 19th with a new contest every other month for the entire year.
There will be prizes for each event as well as an overall title prize for each age group.

Vending Payouts

Please make sure you are putting all vending payout notes in the zipper bag with the cash at the end of the night.  I need to see these in order to correctly enter sales.  I also need them to put in the envelope to be refunded from the vending company.
THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.  IF YOU DO NOT PROPERLY PROCESS THE VENDING PAYOUT NOTES THEN WE ARE GIVING AWAY MONEY.

New Employee Lounge Code

I have reset the code on the Employee Lounge.  It is now:

Please give this out at your discretion.  The lounge will be allowed limited use as recourse for the recent destruction of it.  Please give this out only to volunteers you trust will not give it out to others.  I want to limit it's use only to those that have been a part of the Plan Nine Staff and team for over a year.

Banned Volunteers

Please note:  Joey Eckert and Owen Hensley are now permanently banned from the park.  I have notified them via Facebook but if you see them in the park they need to be removed immediately.
The ban is a result of the incident that occurred in the employee lounge on Sunday.

Waiver Entry Update

From now on when you enter waivers you need to add the "Customer ID" number to the form.  We have updated the waivers and added a spot to write the customer number at the bottom but they will not be implemented until we have to print new waivers.  For now just write the Customer ID number just above the internal use box labeled "Entered By:".  It will be the 5 digit number at the top of each customer information page in the POS system.  Please see the photos below for examples of what the POS system and the new forms look like.

Also, we will be updating all the old waivers with the customer numbers.  I anticipate this taking a few months but it will give you plenty of work to do during the slow times of the day.  If we can get 100 entered a day it should get done in a reasonable time.

MLK Day Power Camp

Please note:  We are now signing people up for the Martin Luther King Day Ramp Camp "Power Camp".  See the info below:

Come spend your Martin Luther King Day with Plan Nine Skatepark for our one day "Power Camp". This one day Power Camp is more like a single serving of our summer Ramp Camp program. Skate or ride the day away while participating in instruction, games and activities, and lots of free skate. Hot lunch is included. Register by Jan. 18th either in store or online for only $35. Cost will be $45 if you register after Jan. 18th.
